The Configuration group holds the masters that every reservation, folio and report uses, plus the people who may use the system. Open Property Setup in the left sidebar; the screens of this chapter are the cards of the groups Financial Settings (Rate Type, Rate Type Binding, Other Charge Category, Other Charges, Measurement Unit, Exchange Rate, Payment Type), User & Access (Roles, Assign Transaction Privileges, Assign Report Privileges, User, Ip White List), CRM & Guests (Document Type, E-Mail Templates) and Configuration (Policy). The addresses are #/setup/<name>.
Every list has a header (back arrow, title, one-line explanation, main button on the right), a Search box that filters as you type, and a Columns button that opens a side panel to choose and re-order the visible columns. Click a column header to sort; the footer shows rows per page (25/50/100), Total Records and page buttons. On a phone the rows become cards. See Property Setup for the full pattern.
Click the highlighted name to edit. The Delete button inside the edit window deactivates the record (soft delete); records already in use may refuse.
After Save on most screens the window stays open on a blank Add form so you can enter more; click Cancel/Close to leave.
Messages: short confirmations appear as a snack bar; errors as a message box. "Record Already Exist." means the name is used by an active record.
New properties are pre-filled with starter masters (rate type RACK, payment types, document types, a base currency, default roles).

Tips and FAQ
Q: Which master should I set up first? A: Rate types and payment types, then taxes, roles and users (New hotel go-live checklist).
Q: I deleted a record by mistake. A: Delete only deactivates the record and the lists show active records only. Create it again, or ask support to reactivate it.
Q: Why can't I see a screen in this chapter? A: Your role lacks the privilege, or the property's licence does not include the feature.
