Other Charge Category
On this page
Categories group your other charges (laundry, parking, minibar...) for reports and accounting. Every other charge belongs to one category.
Before you start
A category OC - Other Charges exists by default. The Other Charges screen needs it (it is the default selection).
Screen layout
This screen follows the common master layout described in Property Setup (section "Master screens: one pattern"): a header with the back arrow, the title, a one-line explanation and the main button on the right; a Search box and a Columns button above a sortable table; a footer with Total Records, Rows and page buttons; and an add / edit window with Delete (left, only when editing), Cancel and Save. Specific to this screen:

How to add
- New Other Charge Category. 2. Code, name, optional Remark, Post To FAS. 3. Save ("Other charge category added successfully."). Form blanks; Cancel to close.
How to edit / delete
Click the name, change and Save ("Other charge category updated successfully."). Delete + confirm "Are you sure want to delete this Other Charge Category?" gives "Other Charge Category deleted successfully."
What happens behind the scenes
Reports and the FAS export group by category. A category with active other charges cannot be deleted.

Tips and FAQ
- Q: Can I rename "Other Charges"? A: Yes; since 2026-10-17 the Other Charges screen no longer fails, it pre-selects the first category when the name is not found.
