How do I add a building (block, tower, wing) to my hotel?
Short answer
Open Property Setup > Building, click Create Building, type the Building Name and click Save. Every room must belong to a building. Small hotels can keep the building Main that the system creates.
Steps
- Click Property Setup in the side menu, then the Building card.
- Click Create Building.
- Type the Building Name. It must be unique. Add a Remark if you want.
- Click Save. The dialog stays open and empty so you can add the next building. Click Cancel (or the close arrow) to leave it.
Next in the set-up order: floor, room type, rooms.
Check the result
The message Building added successfully. appears and the name is in the list. It is now offered in the Room dialog.
Common problems
- Record Already Exist. A building with that name exists. Use another name.
- You cannot delete a building that still has active rooms or booked guests. Move or delete the rooms first.
- Messages: Property configuration messages.
