How do I add a floor?

Short answer

Open Property Setup > Floor, click New Floor, type the Floor Name and click Save. Create floors before you create rooms.

Steps

1. Click Property Setup in the side menu, then the Floor card.
2. Click New Floor (the dialog is titled Add Floor).
3. Type the Floor Name (for example First Floor). It must be unique.
4. Click Save; the dialog closes. Click New Floor again for the next floor.

A new property already has Lobby Floor. A floor is not tied to a building here; the building and floor are chosen together on each room.

Check the result

Floor added successfully. shows and the floor appears in the list and in the Floor drop-down of the Room dialog.

Common problems

• Please enter Floor Name. The name is empty.
• Record Already Exist. Duplicate name.
• Delete is refused while an active room or stay uses the floor.
• Messages: Property configuration messages.
