How do I set up the basic property settings (check-in time, night audit, features)?
Short answer
Open the Property Setup hub, Configuration group, and review Rental Setting, Feature Setting and Night Audit Setting. Click Save on each screen.
Steps
- Click Property Setup in the side menu and open the group Configuration (group chips under the search box).
- Rental Setting: default check-in and check-out time, default reservation status, default rate type, Minimum Rental Age, check-out rules (zero balance, authorized payment, deposit) and no-show days.
- Feature Setting: switch features on or off, for example Group, Sales & Channel, Deposit, Shift Operation, Multi Room Selection, Range Tax; set default stay days.
- Night Audit Setting: set Night Audit Time, whether pending check-outs block the audit, and Report At Night Audit.
- Also check Localization Setting (currency, country, titles) and Folio Setting (folio numbering, auto-print).
- Click Save on each screen. Reload the page (F5) afterwards.
Check the result
Setting updated successfully. appears. Menus such as Group folio or Search Group show up after the feature is on and the page is reloaded.
Common problems
- Please enter State Label. / Please enter Zip Label. Fill them in Localization Setting; every settings Save checks them.
- Two people saving different tabs can overwrite each other: Save writes all settings at once.
- Messages: Settings messages.
