How do I change a property setting (turn a feature on or off)?
Short answer
Find the setting in the table of the Settings overview, open its screen, change it and click Save, then reload.
Steps
- Click Property Setup in the side menu. Type part of the name in Search settings by name or description, or pick the group chip Configuration.
- Open the screen: Rental Setting, Feature Setting, Night Audit Setting, Localization Setting, Display Setting, Folio Setting, Credit Card Setting, Email Setting or another configuration screen.
- Change the check box or value.
- Click Save; wait for Setting updated successfully.
- Reload the page (F5). Some settings are read at login; sign out and in if still unchanged.
Common examples: group menus = Group in Feature Setting; shifts = Shift Operation; deposits = Deposit; check-out balance rule = Rental Setting; folio numbers and auto-print = Folio Setting.
Check the result
The menu or behaviour changes after reload.
Common problems
- Please enter State Label. / Please enter Zip Label. Fill them in Localization Setting.
- Setting not on the screen: it needs a licence (Guest Portal, Hardware, Parking, WhatsApp, Payment Gateway, Door Lock) or the Owner role (WebHook) (licences).
- Save writes every setting at once; two people editing can overwrite each other.
- Messages: Settings messages.
