How do I restrict staff logins to the hotel's internet address?
Short answer
The owner adds the hotel's public IPv4 address in the landing portal (Create IP WhiteList) and keeps Apply IP-Restriction ticked on the staff users who must be limited.
Steps
- Find the hotel's public IP (ask your internet provider, or search "what is my IP" from a hotel computer).
- On the landing portal click the three dots on the group card > Create IP WhiteList.
- Type the four parts of the address, a Description (for example Front office) and click Save.
- In PMS open User, click each user and tick Apply IP-Restriction (changeable only by the group's main user).
- Remove an address with the bin icon in the Action column.
The PMS screen #/setup/ip-allow-list (Property Setup > User & Access > Ip White List; the dialog has the four address parts Part 1 to Part 4 and a Remark) manages the same kind of list from inside PMS.
Check the result
IP Address added successfully. Restricted users can log in only from listed addresses.
Common problems
- A user is blocked at home: expected; untick their restriction or add the address.
- The hotel's IP changed (dynamic address): update the entry.
- Owner users and users without the tick are not restricted.
- Messages: Login messages.
