How do I change rates for many dates or room types at once (bulk update)?
Short answer
In the Rate Manager click Bulk Update, choose the date range and week days, the rate type, the room types, tick Base Rate (and others), pick an operation (= $, + $, - $, + %, - %) and click Save.
Steps
- Open Pricing & Availability > Rate Manager and click Bulk Update (window Range Rate Operation, button disabled without the privilege Access to configure rate).
- Date Range: choose Today, This Week, Next Week, This Week End, Next Week End, This Month, Calendar Year, One Year, or tick Custom and set From Date / To Date. Tick the Week Days (or Select All).
- Rate Type: pick one (only non-derived rate types are listed).
- Room Type: tick the types. Violet ones follow a base room type and cannot be ticked.
- Rate Information: tick Base Rate, Adult Rate, Child Rate, Pet Rate; enter the value and choose the operation (= $ set to, + $ / - $ add or take off, + % / - % raise or lower by percent), for example + % 10.
- Click Save.
Check the result
Rate(s) updated successfully. Open the Rate Manager for the range to confirm. Changes go to the channel manager in the background.
Common problems
- Please select Rate Type. / Please select Room Type(s). / Please select Rate. / Please select atleast one Day for update.
- Please provide valid Base / Adult / Child / Pet Rate value. Use a non-negative number.
- A rate outside the room type Min/Max is refused with the allowed range.
- To force a resend to OTAs use sync.
