How do I make one room type's rate follow another?
Short answer
Mark one room type as Base Type, then in Room Type Binding And Occupancy (or the Room Type Binding button of the Rate Manager) open another room type, tick Base Rate, choose an operation and value, and Save.
Steps
- In Property Setup > Room Type tick Base Type on the room type that others follow (only one active base type).
- Open Pricing & Availability > Rate Manager and click Room Type Binding (window "Bind With
"). - Choose a room type (the base one is disabled).
- Tick Base, Adult, Child, Pet as needed, enter a value and operation: = %, + $, - $, + %, - % of Base.
- Click Save.
Check the result
Room Type binding data updated successfully. The bound room type's cells are marked Binded Rate and follow the base from now on. Untick a row to remove the binding for it.
Common problems
- Base Room Type not configured. Mark a base type first.
- No binded Room Type found. There is only one room type.
- Please provide valid... Rate binding value. Value must be above 0 when ticked.
- Bound cells cannot be edited; change the base rate instead.
- Rate types can be bound too (
#/setup/rate-type-binding). - Messages: Pricing messages.
