How do I send a file or a picture in chat?

Short answer

Open the chat, click the paper clip (or drag a file in, or paste with Ctrl + V), wait for the size to show, then send. Limit 10 MB per file and 5 files per message.

Steps

  1. Open the conversation.
  2. Click the paper clip (Attach files), or drag files onto the chat, or paste a picture with Ctrl + V.
  3. Wait until each file shows its size instead of Uploading....
  4. Type an optional text and press Enter.

Check the result

Pictures appear as a preview (click to enlarge and Download); other files appear as a file chip with name and size.

Common problems

  • is larger than 10 MB. Send a smaller file; the administrator may have set a lower limit.
  • This file type is not allowed. Only pictures, PDF, text, csv and office files (17 types) are accepted; programs, scripts and zip files are blocked.
  • At most 5 files per message. Send the rest separately.
