How do I create a group chat?

Short answer

Chat button, +, tab New group, type the Group name, tick the people, Create group.

Steps

1. Click the chat button, then + (New chat).
2. Click the tab New group.
3. Type the Group name.
4. Click each person to add; the line at the bottom shows how many are selected.
5. Click Create group and write the first message.

Check the result

The group opens with created the group and you are its admin. Use Details (the i button) to rename it, Add people, remove a member, or Leave group.

Common problems

• A name is required. Type a group name.
• Pick at least one other person. Tick someone.
• Only the creator (admin) can add or remove people.
